McMurdo bids farewell to aviation distributors
McMurdo Ltd has pulled out of actively participating in the global aviation market. This follows on from the announcement of Orolia’s acquisition of Kannad and McMurdo Ltd in 2009 and the introduction of McMurdo Ltd's new two-brand strategy.
McMurdo Ltd is transferring the sales effort to Kannad’s Sebastien Guitton (Sales and Marketing Director) and Christian Belleux ( SAR Aviation Business Manager ). Kannad will now be offering distributors the Kannad Aviation range of PLBs instead of McMurdo.
Kannad SAS has increased its focus on the global aviation markets by announcing the introduction of two new Personal Location Beacons, the XS-ER and the XS-4 to complement its existing range of ELTs.
McMurdo Ltd’s core focus going forward will be the supply of world beating emergency location beacons for marine and outdoor markets. Jeremy Harrison, CEO of McMurdo Ltd commented “We’ve really enjoyed doing business with our aviation distributors around the world. We’ve been very successful in building up the aviation business, educating pilots in the importance of carrying PLBs like the McMurdo Fast Find and MAX-G.” He adds, “We know that the supply of similar products will continue uninterrupted in the capable hands of the Kannad team”.
McMurdo Ltd would like to take this opportunity to thank their aviation distributors once again for their business over the years and wish them all continuing success for the future.
Kannad can be contacted directly through the Kannad website, www.kannad.com.
