Sir Ranulph Fiennes abandons Everest attempt
So near yet so far. Only hours from the peak of Everest Sir Ranulph Fiennes, carrying his pocket-sized McMurdo FASTFIND PLB was forced to turn back due to exhaustion on Saturday 23rd May.

Hobie Challenge competitor uses MAX G
Fin Mitchell is mounting the Hobie Challenge, a gruelling 2000 mile voyage around Britain in a small open Hobie Cat catamaran. Taking every safety precaution, Fin has equipped himself with a McMurdo FASTFIND MAX G PLB (Personal Location Beacon).

Aero Expo, one of the UK’s biggest general aviation exhibition, and attracts thousands of pilots and those involved in with private aircraft. Mini Clubman World Trip takes shape
Duncan Mortimer has sent McMurdo the latest pictures of his Mini Clubman which is about to embark on a UK-wide and worldwide trip. McMurdo has agreed a sponsorship deal with Duncan , to assist him in his ‘Around the World in a Mini Clubman’ campaign. McMurdo is donating a Fastfind MAX G Personal Location Beacon (PLB) which Duncan can activate to alert rescue services if he gets into a life threatening situation out of mobile phone range.
